$1,000,000 Shopping Spree

By Anthony Gold

Imagine if you were given one million dollars to go on a shopping spree at the mall. And all you bought was tons of stuff that you don’t like and don’t want.

Now all that crap arrives in your home, completely surrounding you.

How would you feel?

Not very good, and you would likely ask yourself, “Why did I buy this stuff?”

Only a crazy person would use that precious commodity (money) and purchase things they didn’t want, right?

Such is the brilliant metaphor posed by Wayne Dyer when he suggested that our thoughts are just like money in that they are a precious commodity. With those thoughts we can think anything we want. But whatever we allow into our minds, consider that we’ve now “purchased” it.

We’ve allowed into our sacred inner sanctum whatever it is that we focus our attention on.

As a man thinketh, so is he.

It is very tempting to believe that our thoughts just happen – that for the most part they aren’t intentionally chosen. But that isn’t true.

Just like the junk from the mall, we purchased it.

“But if I really had a million dollars, I wouldn’t have bought that stuff. I would have gotten things that really mattered.”

Really?

Look at every thought you’ve allowed to dwell in your consciousness. Are you sad? Are you anxious? Do you ever get angry? Frustrated? Ashamed? Worry what others think?

If you answered yes to any of those, then you’ve used that million dollars and purchased crappy stuff. In fact, our thoughts are worth far more than a million dollars. Money is fleeting, rapidly devalued, and limited in its “buying power”. Thoughts, on the other hand, are the most powerful commodity in the universe.

Our thoughts alone are not only the source of all inspiration and breakthrough, but they completely determine our well-being. And the best part – they are completely free. We don’t have a finite bank account of thoughts. It is unlimited.

Here’s how powerful our thoughts are:

In every moment, we can choose heaven or hell, simply with our thoughts.

What are you going to spend your thoughts on right now? Choose wisely – your entire sense of peace is dependent on it.

Join us in Monday’s class where we’ll explore the extraordinary power of thought and how we can practice changing our thought patterns to change our lives. I look forward to seeing you then.
